What this app is
Search Console for iPhone is an independent app made by Paul Fraser (p4ul.dev). It shows you data from your own Google Search Console properties, plus Core Web Vitals and PageSpeed results for those sites. It is not affiliated with Google. This policy explains what the app can access, what it stores, and what it never does.
Google account access
When you connect a Google account, the app signs you in with Google OAuth and asks for the read-only Search Console scope (webmasters.readonly) along with your basic profile (name, email address and avatar) so it can show which account is connected. The app can view your Search Console data. It cannot change settings, add or remove properties, submit sitemaps or take any action on your behalf. You can revoke access at any time from the app's Settings or from your Google Account permissions page.
How we handle Google user data
This section describes how the app accesses, uses, stores and shares Google user data obtained through Google APIs.
Access
The app accesses Google user data only through the Google Search Console API, using the read-only scope https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly, together with the openid, email and profile scopes. Access happens only after you sign in with Google and grant permission on Google's consent screen.
Use
Google user data is used solely to display your own Search Console reports inside the app on your device: performance (clicks, impressions, CTR, position), indexing coverage, sitemaps and URL inspection, and to generate on-device alerts about that data. Your email address and name are used only to show which account is connected. The data is not used for advertising, profiling, market research or any purpose other than showing it to you.
Store
Data is stored only on your iPhone. Sign-in tokens are kept in the iOS Keychain. API responses are cached on the device for up to 24 hours so the app loads quickly, then refreshed from Google. We do not operate any server that receives, processes or stores your Google user data.
Share
We do not share, sell, transfer or disclose Google user data to any third party. No analytics, advertising or tracking SDK is included in the app. The only parties that receive your data are Google (when the app requests it) and you.
Revoke access
You can revoke the app's access at any time, either in the app under Settings → Disconnect Google account, which also revokes the token with Google and removes it from your device, or from your Google Account permissions page.
Deletion
Settings → Delete all data from this iPhone removes sign-in tokens, cached responses, settings and scheduled alerts from your device immediately. Deleting the app does the same. Because we hold no copy of your data, there is nothing further to delete on our side.
Search Console for iPhone's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What the app fetches
To show your reports, the app requests data directly from Google's APIs: the Search Console API (performance, indexing, sitemaps and URL inspection), the Chrome UX Report API (real-user Core Web Vitals) and the PageSpeed Insights API (lab scores). Requests go straight from your iPhone to Google. There is no server of ours in between, and your Search Console data is never sent to us or to anyone else.
What is stored on your iPhone
Your Google sign-in tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. Responses from Google are cached on the device for a short period (typically up to 24 hours) so the app opens quickly and uses less data. Your settings, alert preferences and the list of sites you have viewed are stored on the device. You can remove all of it at any time with Delete all data from this iPhone in Settings, or by deleting the app.
Alerts and notifications
Weekly digests, traffic-drop alerts and indexing warnings are scheduled locally on your iPhone using the data the app has already fetched. They are not sent through a push server, and no data leaves your device to generate them. You can turn them off in Settings or in iOS notification settings.
Demo mode
Demo mode uses built-in sample data for a fictional site. Nothing is fetched from, or sent to, Google while you are in demo mode, and no account is required.
Purchases
Pro is sold as an in-app purchase through Apple. Payment is handled entirely by the App Store; we do not see or store your payment details. Apple's handling of that data is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Analytics, advertising and tracking
The current version of the app contains no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not build a profile of you. If a future version introduces advertising or usage analytics, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and any such feature will be described in the App Store listing.
Your choices
You can disconnect your Google account in Settings, revoke the app's access from your Google Account at any time, and delete all locally stored data from the Settings screen. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes everything it stored.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address with a new date at the top.
